The MapMarker® Server Geocoding Tool combines with Candidate Visualization to display geocoded locations in map format.
Access: Flexible, scalable architecture that supports PC-based, enterprise-wide or Internet applications. Accuracy: Ensures a high match rate by utilizing fuzzy logic and Soundex indexing to manage misspellings, data errors and omissions, and comparing geocoding and spatial analysis data to the most comprehensive address file in New Zealand. A standard input format of Street 1 and Street 2 generates coordinates of street intersections, based on the StreetPro® road network. Coverage: Provides in-depth street address location information. Methods: Enables you to select/combine geocoding methods, including address, intersection, street centroid, postal code and location centroid. Reads any .tab or. dbf format table. Process Options: Batch: Geocodes an entire address or postal code file at once based on your choice of match restrictions and geocoding methods.
Interactive: After Batch Processing, allows you to go back through unmatched records and correct the non-matching addresses and postal codes.
Quick Find: Geocodes a single address, intersection or postal code. You choose one or a combination from among three independent match restrictions—house number, street name or postal code. Results display immediately with longitude and latitude coordinates and boundary identifiers. Output Formats: Enables you add columns automatically to your table to store coordinates, parsed addresses and result codes. Results Codes: Enables you to determine whether a match was made, and what portions of the address were used, to confirm the quality of the match. Languages: Supports both English and French addresses. Visualization: Adding Candidate Visualization to the MapMarker® Server Geocoding Tool enables desktop users to view the location of the customer on a map. Candidate Visualization automatically selects the correct maps for display. Usability: The attribution feature, available in the desktop version, allows you to attach data from any table containing boundaries to geocoded records. The graphical user interface is configurable to your needs, speeds up setup time and remembers the settings for a particular file needing for geocoding on a regular basis. The quick geocode button allows you to click and go. The table will be geocoded with the current preferences without displaying the geocode dialog.
